Waxing doesn't have to hurt. The combination of our technique and our waxes bring this service out of the dark ages. Waxing interrupts the hair growth pattern and leaves the skin hair-free for 3-6 weeks.

Hair length
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch, or two weeks of growth. The longer the hair, the more effective the treatment.

Reducing discomfort
An antacid taken one hour prior to waxing will reduce redness.

Waxing after your menstrual cycle, rather then just before, minimizes discomfort.

Precautions
Always notify the aesthetician of any medications taken topically or internally to treat acne or signs of aging skin (i.e., glycolic acid, Retin-A, antibiotics, etc.) These medications heighten the skin's sensitivity and, for best results, should be discontinued for at least 48 hours before and after waxing. (Clients who have used Accutane must wait 6 months after discontinuing medication before scheduling waxing services.)

Waxing should not be done to skin that has had a recent exfoliating treatment, including microdermabrasion.

Pricing
Prices are based on skin that has an average amount of hair. Skin that is hairier takes more time and materials, so prices are slightly higher.
